Description

        Name:
        Snowkit| Snowpaw | Snowfrost

        Age:
        8 Moons

        Gender:
        Tom

        Breed:
        American Longhair mix

        Clan:
        RaggedClan

        Rank:
        Apprentice

        Family:
        Mother:
        Cloudchaser
        Father:
        Fleetfoot
        Siblings:
        3 Older Siblings
        5 Siblings from his Litter

        Appearance:
His fluffy fur is void of pigment giving it a white colour. His fur fluffs out in the front of his body giving his neck a semi mane. By his stomach the fur has shortened enough to leave his pale pink belly visible though there is evidence to suggest that as he ages his fur will grow and cover his bare stomach. His tail is as fluffy as his neck if not fluffier and it also quite long. His ears are long and semi-pointed. Snowpaw has long graceful whiskers the extend out from is face. Light red eyes along with a small dainty pink nose are the only things that aren't void of colour on his face and his dainty paws have pink paw pads the same shade as his nose. He stands at an average height for his age but compared to his siblings he is shorter and will not be growing much more than he already has.

        Personality:
        [ Ostentatious | Careless | Intelligent ]

        Ostentatious
Snowpaw isn't one to start a conversation but once someone gets him speaking it's hard to get the tom to stop. Often he'll give long winding lectures and barely let the other party speak at all. More often than not he does this to show off or prove himself to others, though this usually ends with other cats not speaking to him to avoid his long winding 'conversations'. This doesn't stop him from showing off anyway to anyone he can.

        Careless
Snowpaw is careless in the sense that he may start wagging his tail during a hunt or forget to check a border for signs of intruders. Usually his carelessness doesn't lead to any serious trouble but at the wrong time it might. For now as an apprentice he hasn't had the chance to let his carelessness get him into serious trouble except for forgetting to take change the bedding of a den. This may seem like a strange trait to have because he is an intelligent tom but that is what causes his careless behaviour. Spending his time thinking about other things rather than the task he has been given causes for him to forget things that others wouldn't or accidentally do something such as walk into a tree because he wasn't paying attention to where he was going.

        Intelligent
Intelligent to a fault though some might say it makes up for his frail build. Snowpaw is usually the one to answer questions during training, especially when training with others since he likes showing off his intelligence. This gets out of hand when he starts taking over the class because he keeps going on rather than stopping once he has given a decent answer. But that isn't the only thing his intelligence is good for, it helps him plan attacks and remember details that others would forget. If it weren't for his carelessness he might even out do the other apprentices even with his slow battle reflexes and poor hunting skills because he is actually able to think his attacks through unlike most cats his age. Then again his over thinking nature tends to also work against him when. Over thinking an attack most apprentices would call simple causes him to miss the perfect opportunity to launch an attack no matter how well planned he thought it was.

        Backstory:

        Kit-hood

        Young Kit-hood
Snowkit was born to the second litter of kittens of Cloudchaser and Fleetfoot as the fourth kit in the litter of five. The little tom and his siblings had been born during the cold moons of Leaf Bare, luckily their mother had long fluffy fur that kept them warm on the coldest days of Leaf Bare. This what he remembers of his young kit hood, curling up against his mother and siblings for warmth. The days went by quickly for them since they spent most of their time sleeping calmly. And for a time it was calm, but it was a calm like the one before a storm. And the storm was quickly approaching though no one knew it yet. Not until one morning the kits began blinking their eyes open for the first time.

Blue was the colour of kits eyes, all but one. Red eyes blinked open, taking in the world for the first time. The first few moments were calm and peaceful, until the other kits noticed. The older ones had never seen red eyes such as his and began to ask their mothers of it. Their mothers however had never seen such a thing. Cloudchaser was speechless, one of her kits was different, flawed, how would the clan react? The kits had appeared normal at first, white fluffy fur like his parents and his siblings but now that his eyes had opened they were able to see the truth. They would have to keep an eye on him, to make sure there was nothing else wrong with him.

        Pre Apprenticeship
In the moons following the little tom had begun to grow along with his other siblings. Leaf Bare had ended and New Leaf was upon them. The kits left the nursery as often as possible to explore their Clan's camp. More often than not they'd get into trouble as kits do, well, almost all of the kits did. Snowkit sat alone outside the nursery watching his siblings play. He couldn't join them even if wanted to, and he did, but his mother had decided that it'd be best for him to just stay put. In the few moons that had passed since the day he opened his eyes it had become apparent that he was runt of the litter. He was frailer than his siblings and already his vision wasn't on par with that of the rest of the litter. His Mother's intentions were good, she wanted to keep him safe and healthy and couldn't risk him getting hurt because of his poor vision, but that also meant he missed out on making friends. Snowkit spent most of his time learning what he could, asking the warriors and elders about everything and anything. He would also spend time in the Medicine Cat's den learning about herbs and ways to cure belly aches even though he had no interest in becoming a Medicine Cat himself. And this became routine for him, spending his time learning rather than playing.

        Apprenticeship

        First Two Moons
On the day he became an apprentice Snowkit was nervous, but an excited kind of nervous. He would finally be able to make friends rather than sit around entertaining himself with the Medicine Cat and elders. Finally he would be able to become a warrior and prove to everyone, and himself, that he was able to take care of himself and not just sit around. And it was like that, for the first day or so. After that it became obvious that he was too frail to take part in the more rigorous training. And it became apparent that his eyes were too sensitive to the light to stay out for too long. There was talk of him just retiring early to the Elder's den, something that could happen to an apprentice or young warrior if given a good enough reason such as some sickness or terrible injury, and he probably would have if not for his determination to prove to everyone that he wasn't some weakling that needed special treatment because of his sensitivity to the light. And that was what he worked for, even though he was still behind all the other apprentices in terms of strength and endurance he was ahead of them in terms of brains. And he used that to his advantage as often as possible. And soon enough the first few moons of training were over and he was becoming a seasoned apprentice who was well on his way to becoming a warrior.

        Current
It has been two moons since Snowkit became Snowpaw, he is still behind the other apprentices in terms or stamina and raw power but what he lacks there he makes up for in brains. He is now getting used to his visual disabilities and focusing even more on becoming a warrior, not a strong one but a smart one that can strategize the way to victory.

        RP Example
Sullivan listened to the tom cat speak, a little disappointed in his answer but nonetheless it helped in understanding what exactly they maybe be up against. The theory of an underground creature was a certainly interesting one. He couldn't think of an underground creature that could cause a sound like that. Maybe a bird of some kind could? It didn't seem probable to the to though, birds were usually more higher pitched with their calls and had a more song like sound to their calls, as opposed to the low weeping they had heard. But who knows. Maybe it could be some kind of bird he never even saw or heard before. The russet tom continued his response and Sullivan was about to agree when the weeping started up again. This time more high pitched and more scream like than a weep. But still the same noise, Sullivan being able to tell that from the direction it was coming from, which was the same direction that the first sound had come from. Before so much as a flick of an ear the older tom was off, racing towards the sound of the noise as fast as his paws could carry him. His face hit leaves and branches as he raced through bushes. The running made seeing even harder than it already had been in the dim and gloom light, his surroundings zipping by in a flash. Determined not to let anything hinder him the Green-shadow activated his powers, the green smile that was usually just that stretched itself further along his jaws, creeping up into his eyes with a glowing light that softly illuminated the leaves surrounding him. His glowing green eyes glanced behind him for a mere second in search of the other cat to make sure he was following before glancing forwards again. His Primary Shadow ability allowed him to see bright as day now even with the lack of light, easing his trek towards the sound. His paws hit the ground hard, spraying dirt behind him as he raced faster, certainly not wanting to loose whatever creature this was now. That was when he realized that he was making such a loud ruckus that the creature was probably awaiting him, cautious for any movement and sound lurking in the brush heading towards it. Sullivan slowed, activating yet another of his powers. This time shadows engulfed all four of his paws, all sound coming from them stifled to nothing but silence. Being a Secondary Shadow may be better for offense but Primary Shadow's were better suited to lurking in the dark, blending in with the shadows around them and waiting for the moment to strike. And on the plus side once you were strong enough to you could teleport, which no one argues was a pretty cool thing to do. But he had no time to dwell on silly things such as whether or not Primaries were truly better than Secondaries or if it was the other way around because Sullivan was close. Close to the mysterious creature whose cry had sparked curiosity and fear in the tom. Each emotion heightened as he neared, taking small paw steps forward. His ears were perked forward, jaws open and ready to taste for any scents in the air. He swished his tail impatiently as he stalked forward and heard nothing. Perhaps he had been to late? The creature, whatever it was had gone away and left to do whatever things it had to do. But a growl from behind along with the strong scent of a creature he recognized. A deadly and dangerous creature he recognized. A fox. Sullivan whirled around, the surprise of being confronted from behind cause him to deactivate the power that kept the shadow around his paws. His night vision was still there, and with its help Sullivan could see the fox clearly. Its russet red fur, dark jet black legs and golden amber eyes full of anger. That wasn't all the tom saw however. The fox's left leg seemed to be hurt since blood was trickling down from a wound there. It was howling in pain then...I guess I’ll be howling in pain too along with it by the time it's done with me" Sullivan thought grimly as he backed up, his back arching and the fur along his neck and spine rising. A low growl rumbling deep in his throat as he unsheathed his claws.
